Rules and Regulations

The Rules and Regulations of Holy Angels Matriculation Higher Secondary School are framed to ensure a safe, disciplined, and academically productive environment. Parents and students are expected to read, understand, and strictly adhere to these rules for the smooth functioning of the institution.

General School Rules

To ensure a safe, disciplined, and respectful learning environment, all students are expected to follow the school rules strictly.

  • Students must attend school regularly and punctually.
  • Every student shall carry the school handbook and identity card daily.
  • Politeness and respect towards teachers, staff, and fellow students is mandatory.
  • Students are expected to maintain cleanliness within the school premises.
  • Participation in morning and evening assemblies is compulsory.
  • Students should not bring valuable items, costly jewellery, or electronic gadgets to school.
  • Any form of indiscipline, misbehaviour, or damage to school property will invite strict disciplinary action.
Attendance Policy

Regular attendance is essential for academic continuity and student development. All students are expected to adhere strictly to the school’s attendance norms.

  • Regular attendance is compulsory for academic progress.
  • Students must obtain prior permission from the school for any leave of absence.
  • In case of illness, a medical certificate must be submitted upon return.
  • Students arriving late without a valid reason will not be permitted to attend class without the Principal’s approval.
  • Continuous absence for more than 10 days without prior intimation will result in the student’s name being removed from the school rolls.
Student Leadership

Leadership opportunities are provided through student councils, class representatives, and house leadership roles. These responsibilities help students develop confidence, decision-making skills, and a sense of accountability.

Parent Cooperation

Parents are requested to cooperate with the school management by ensuring punctuality, discipline, regular fee payment, and positive support towards their child’s academic and moral development.

Uniform & Discipline
  • Students must wear the prescribed school uniform neatly and correctly on all working days.
  • Hair should be neatly trimmed and maintained as per school norms.
  • Wearing ornaments, cosmetics, or fashionable accessories is strictly prohibited.
  • Discipline must be maintained in classrooms, laboratories, playgrounds, and school buses.
  • Students are expected to follow instructions given by teachers and school authorities at all times.
Fee Rules
  • School fees must be paid on or before the 5th of every month.
  • Fee payment shall be made only through approved payment modes specified by the school.
  • A late fee penalty will be imposed for delayed payments as per school norms.
  • Students with pending fee arrears will not be allowed to appear for examinations.
  • Textbooks and notebooks will be issued only after fee payment.
Examination Rules
  • Students must attend all examinations as per the prescribed schedule.
  • Absence without valid medical or written reason will result in zero marks.
  • Malpractice or use of unfair means will lead to strict disciplinary action.
  • Students must maintain silence, discipline, and decorum in the examination hall.
  • The decision of the school authorities regarding examinations is final.
Admission & Withdrawal Policy
  • New admissions are granted only when parents or guardians personally introduce the student.
  • Admission is based on merit, entrance assessment, and availability of seats.
  • Submission of Birth Certificate, Transfer Certificate, and Aadhar Card is mandatory.
  • Parents seeking withdrawal must submit a written application in advance.
  • Transfer Certificate (TC) will be issued only after all dues are cleared.
  • A minimum of 15 days is required for processing the Transfer Certificate.
  • The TC must be collected by parents in person from the Principal’s office.
